Regrets
Ok, so maybe I was a little hard on Santa. Sorry Santa. The more I think about it, the more I’m ok with the whole Santa idea. It’s all about giving and being with family and the coolest thing is that I get to be in charge of what I tell my girls about Christmas anyway… So I guess Santa is alright.
Plus, he got me a Wii.
Merry Christmas.
The Truth About Santa →
This morning I saw this article in the NY times. Some really helpful ideas on how and when to tell your kids the truth about Santa. Aaahh I love the NY times. It’s all helping me put the whole thing in perspective. Check it out.
Santa
Who is Santa really? And why is he at my mall? I think it’s kinda creepy. I think Santa is kinda creepy. Think about it. He’s a big, hairy old man dressed in a red pant suit. He comes to our homes in the middle of the night while we are sleeping and leaves presents. If that weren’t enough he comes to every mall across the country and we voluntarily place our children in his...
Riding Bitch
As a kid in a family with four kids there was a daily battle for the best seat in the car. One thing was for sure, the worst possible thing that could happen was to get stuck in the back in the middle. In other words “riding bitch”. She and the other ladies were dressed in fierce 60’s inspired dresses and I showed up in my jeans. At least my jacket had a Jackie O shape (totally not on purpose). Friends enjoyed champagne cocktails, manhattans and Tom Collins. And the food! Yum! Finger...

Feelings
It’s common knowledge that toddler tantrums are usually the result of not having the ability to verbalize or resolve feelings. We’ve all seen the grocery store tantrum and the harried Mom just tryin to get the kid to calm down so she doesn’t have to abandon ship sans dinner for the evening. It’s not pretty and it’s what makes the terrible twos so terrible.
O is...
And So It Begins
Hello blogging world. It’s me, Robin. I’m here to share some funny stories and capers about my experience of becoming my mother. So far I’m on my way, with two little ones at home and a new haircut that appears, if you look at me kinda outta the corner of your eye, to make me look eerily like my mother. Don’t get me wrong. I love my mother. I think she’s the best Mom...
